Finally, a few reviews are coming in for "Corporate Ties." The latest one is from Meg, who runs the book blog A Bookish Affair. I thought the highlight of her post was this - "It's fast paced, funny, with a splash of cynicism (just how I like it) and kept me interested in the story." You can see the whole review here.

The reviews are finally coming in for "Corporate Ties," and this is one of the best so far - a "highly recommended" by one of the leaders in small press reviews, Midwest Book Review. Here's the actual review:

If you're debating on whether or not it's worth your time to read "Corporate Ties," feel free to check out samples in various places. If you have a Kindle or Nook, you can download previews. Also, you can view the first five chapters in PDF format on my media page. Or if you can convince me to send you a copy, I might consider that as well!

I plan to have some exciting news soon about my first big break with the book, but I'm still waiting on the announcement myself. Stay tuned!

I'm still in the early stages of getting the word out about "Corporate Ties," and I already have a handful of decent reviews on Amazon. I will eventually post all here, but for now, here are some snippets:

"Overall, the book is engaging and well-written with a real appeal to those who enjoy situations similar to Dilbert cartoons."
- Beth, Tennessee

"I felt like I personally knew everyone in the book and was living out the novel."
- Lynda, New York

It's almost Thanksgiving, so while you prepare to eat your way through the holidays, I want to remind you to give thanks to those things that help you make it through each and every work day. Of course, I'm talking about office supplies.

Here's a little contest. Respond to this message/post with your favorite office supply and why you can't live without it. The top two answers will receive a free copy of "Corporate Ties."

Thanks for playing!

The Goodreads giveaway for Corporate Ties has been a huge success. I had 400 people sign up to receive a free copy of my new book. Of course, not everyone is on Goodreads, so I thought I'd also do a Facebook giveaway.

The cover for "Corporate Ties" went through so many iterations that I can barely remember all of them. With the help of designer Brad Samuelson, I think we came up with something that should be meaningful without a full-blown description of its entirety. However, seeing that some people might wonder what the heck is going on with the crap in the boxes people are carrying, I figured that I should explain.

Because I still don't have any physical copies just yet, I thought I would post the final chapters for people to check out. I mean, why would you want to buy a book without reading a few pages first?
